Birch and Wreath

I have a confession to make ..I hate wreaths.. I guess I have just always thought of them as being so 'grandma' and too 'country' for my tastes .. that is until I just found this seller on Etsy!!!!

I have seen before the more creative wreaths like ones made with seashells for summer and wintery pine cone ones with the glittery pine cones.. but still I have always felt like .'.eh.. looks "cheesy" and.. I don't like it'. However.. I must admit these are just so cool!!!! I think this woman may have changed my entire outlook on wreaths in general! I don't know who you are lady.. but I sure like your wreaths and I will be buying a few soon!! (hmm maybe holiday gifts) :)

This top one is my favorite!

This one is made from real fall leaves that are preserved so that they keep their beautiful color.

She also makes these really neat birch items. They make me want to move more north. I LOVE bitch trees. Too cute.

Clip Art Books For Your Creative Adventures

Dover's collection of clip art books has seen some improvements over the years. They now almost exclusively include a CD of all of the images so they are ready for use. Some of my older Dover books do not include CDs, making their use a bit tedious. Dover also began doing full color books for certain publications.

These are some of my favorites for black and white line drawings, hotlinked to Dover's site.

Dover also carries a line of books with full color and vector images that can be resized. The Pictura series are extremely detailed and useful for even large scale projects.

Pictura includes books of design and art from most of the world's cultures and detailed books of buterflies, flowers, insects and various art styles.
